About us
Founders and directors of Tilde Madrid. After many years teaching Spanish to adults, we decided to share all our classroom material — for free.
A journalist by training (Information Sciences, Complutense University of Madrid) who worked at the EFE news agency and Cadena COPE radio — until a year in Oregon (USA) turned her into a Spanish teacher, and she never looked back. That storyteller's eye is what makes her lessons stick.
She is co-author of “Urgencias — Spanish for doctors”, author of the didactic materials published here on The Spanish Forum, and creator and editor of the YouTube channel Spanish Sessions, with over 3 million views. Her specialities: medical Spanish, DELE exam preparation and general Spanish.
A linguist to the core: degree in Hispanic Philology (Complutense University of Madrid) and a master's in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. If you've ever wondered why Spanish works the way it does, Lola is the person who can actually explain it.
She is the author of “La Gramática Lola” and co-author of “Urgencias — Spanish for doctors” and the beginner's method “Básico 1”. She creates the didactic materials of The Spanish Forum and has long experience training teachers of Spanish, preparing DELE candidates, and teaching Spanish in companies — from beginners to executives.
“We would like to share all this material with you, for free. And if you ever come to Madrid — our school is your home.”
